Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders to meet in Brussels

The invitation was extended by Michel, and both leaders have agreed to participate in the trilateral meeting.

“I have decided to invite both leaders by the end of October in Brussels. And both leaders agreed to come by the end of October in Brussels for this meeting. And we will work very hard to make progress in the field of the normalization between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” stated the European Council President.

The upcoming meeting follows the last encounter between Aliyev and Pashinyan in mid-July, marking the continuation of diplomatic efforts facilitated by the European Union. President Aliyev has previously characterized the Brussels format as a supplementary or supportive mechanism, with Moscow and Washington serving as the official mediators in negotiations between Baku and Yerevan.

The meeting in Brussels is anticipated to address key issues in the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, contributing to regional stability and fostering diplomatic solutions to longstanding conflicts. (ILKHA)
