The Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a press release confirming the operations and emphasized that they are carried out within the framework of Türkiye's legitimate rights for self-defense.

The operations, which began following the terrorist attack, have seen the destruction of numerous targets linked to the separatist terrorist organization. These operations primarily targeted locations in northern Syria, specifically in the Tell Rifaat, Jazira, and Derik regions.

While the operations have been conducted effectively, the ministry also mentioned the loss of one Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) during the operations due to differing technical assessments in the deconfliction mechanism with third parties. The Turkish authorities are taking the necessary measures to enhance the efficiency of the deconfliction mechanism with relevant parties.

The ministry made it clear that this incident has not impeded the ongoing operations or the successful targeting of identified objectives.

The operations aim to counteract the activities of PKK/YPG members and safeguard the security and stability of the region, according to the ministry. (ILKHA)
