The bazaar, set up at the 15 July Martyrs Park in Kayapınar, aims to keep its stalls open until the evening of Sunday, October 8, with proceeds intended to benefit thousands of families in need.
Offering a diverse array of products, including kitchenware, hardware, clothing for men, women, and children, shoes, as well as home-cooked meals and desserts, the bazaar aims to provide generous offerings to the public.
Since the early morning hours, the charity stalls have been welcoming the generous people of Diyarbakır.
Abdurrahim Karadeniz, an official of the organization, provided insights into the kermes initiative, expected to span about a week. He expressed gratitude to all the benefactors and volunteers contributing to the event.
“Approximately a month ago, we began our preparations for the kermes. We visited local businesses, and, with the grace of Allah, they generously supported us by offering products for sale. Today, our kermes is set up, stalls are open, and we have received support from volunteers and benefactors,” Karadeniz said.
Speaking about the diverse array of products and activities at the stalls, Karadeniz said: "Here, we have stalls ranging from kitchenware to clothing and food. For those placing orders, we deliver meals to their doorstep, be it at home or their workplace. We are thankful to our benevolent supporters and volunteers who have wholeheartedly contributed to this cause. We hope our kermes will continue until Sunday, October 8. We are here, and we expect the current strong participation to persist until the end. We express our gratitude to benevolent supporters who have stood by us thus far and hope for their continued support. This kermes is dedicated to the benefit of the distressed and orphaned. In advance, we thank the benevolent individuals for their forthcoming contributions." (ILKHA)
