Deadly explosion at rally to celebrate prophet birth leaves 13 dead and over 50 injured

The blast, which also killed a police officer, took place on Friday in Mastung, a district in Balochistan province.

Local officials have indicated that the explosion appears to have been a suicide attack. The assailant detonated an explosive device in close proximity to the vehicle of Deputy Superintendent of Police Nawaz Gishkori.

As of now, no entity has come forward to claim responsibility for this devastating attack. Additionally, the Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan, a prominent militant organization, has disavowed any involvement in the incident.
