In these rescue efforts, the Turkish coast guard deployed boats to the region to assist those in distress. The operations successfully resulted in the rescue of the 170 irregular migrants who had been forcibly returned to Turkish waters by Greek forces.

Following the rescue operations, the irregular migrants were transferred to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management to undergo necessary procedures.
