Turkish business confidence shifts across sectors in September

The Turkish Statistical Institute revealed notable changes in business confidence across key sectors in their latest report published on Monday.

In the services sector, there was a decline in confidence, with the index dropping by 2.0%. The seasonally adjusted confidence index in this sector stood at 113.0, reflecting a decrease compared to the previous month.

On the flip side, the retail trade sector witnessed a robust upswing in confidence, registering an impressive 3.0% increase. The seasonally adjusted confidence index for retail trade surged to 117.7, signaling a bullish sentiment among businesses in this sector.

The construction sector also experienced a modest boost in confidence, with the index inching up by 1.0%. The seasonally adjusted confidence index for construction reached 88.3 in September, showing cautious optimism among industry players.
