Lavrov stated that a comprehensive solution to the situation in the Middle East hinges on resolving this enduring issue based on United Nations (UN) resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

Lavrov highlighted the decades-long wait of the Palestinian people for an independent state, a wait that has extended for over 70 years.

He pointed out that despite the solemn promise of statehood, the mediation process, largely monopolized by the United States, has hindered progress towards this goal.

"The Palestinians have been waiting more than 70 years after a solemn promise of a state, but the Americans, who have monopolized the mediation process, are doing everything they can to prevent it," Lavrov stated.

In his speech, the Russian foreign minister called upon responsible nations to unite their efforts to end the plight of Palestinian people.

The address comes at a critical juncture in international diplomacy, with ongoing efforts to find a sustainable solution to the brutality of zionist occupation regime that has persisted for generations. (ILKHA)
