Hope Caravan Foundation initiates water well project in Afghanistan's Lovgar Province

The organization, with the backing of philanthropists from Türkiye, is diligently drilling water wells in various neighborhoods of Lovgar province.

With a mission to provide essential aid to those in need worldwide, the Hope Caravan Foundation has turned its attention to the people of Afghanistan who have been enduring a severe famine for an extended period. Focusing its efforts in Lovgar province, the foundation has embarked on a project to drill water wells, bolstered by the generous contributions of Turkish philanthropists.

In an inspiring display of solidarity, each water well is being registered under the name of a different benefactor, highlighting the diverse philanthropic support fueling this humanitarian endeavor. Dedicated drilling machines are working tirelessly, ensuring a continuous effort to bring clean and safe drinking water to the people of Lovgar.

Cengiz Kurtaran, President of the Hope Caravan Foundation, personally oversees the operations on-site and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the philanthropists who have rallied behind this vital cause.  

“We continue our relief efforts in Afghanistan. We are now in the outskirts of Lovgar city. Indeed, our brothers and sisters here are in a very difficult situation and in need. Especially 8 out of every 10 Afghan brothers and sisters cannot access clean water. People are struggling with thirst due to the last 4 years of famine,” he said.

Kurtaran further added: “Inshallah, we will open a water well with a fountain in the name of philanthropists with the donations we receive from them. Those who will pray in the masjid next to us will hopefully take their ablutions from the water well we will open. May Allah be pleased with our benefactor and grant them and all their relatives goodness and beauty both in this world and in the hereafter.”
