This decision was reached during the latest evaluation meeting of the Cinema Support Board, comprising seven members representing the cinema sector.

The Cinema Support Board, during its deliberations, greenlit an additional 20 projects across three distinct genres: First Feature Fiction Film Production, Feature Film Production, and Post-Production.

Breaking down the allocation, the board allotted 7 million liras to projects under the category of "First Feature Fiction Film Production," 11 million liras for "Feature Film Production," and 2 million liras for "Post-Production."

The "First Feature Fiction Film Production" category holds particular significance as it is instrumental in nurturing new talent and enriching cinema production in Turkey. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism earmarked a substantial 21 million liras for projects led by seven emerging directors in this category.

With this latest financial commitment, the Ministry has now contributed a total of 98.924 million liras to the cinema sector in 2023, demonstrating its unwavering support for the industry's growth and development. (ILKHA)
