This number includes 520 casualties Russian forces suffered just over the past day.

According to the report, Russia has also lost 4,635 tanks, 8,868 armored fighting vehicles, 8,633 vehicles and fuel tanks, 6,096 artillery systems, 779 multiple launch rocket systems, 526 air defense systems, 315 airplanes, 316 helicopters, 4,821 drones, and 20 warships or boats.

The Ukrainian military estimates that Russia currently has over 420,000 troops stationed in Ukraine, including Crimea.

The war in Ukraine has been the deadliest conflict in Europe since World War II. Millions of people have been displaced from their homes, and thousands of civilians have been killed.

It is important to note that the casualty figures released by both sides of the conflict are difficult to verify independently.

However, the scale of the losses suffered by Russia is a testament to the fierce resistance it has faced from the Ukrainian military. (ILKHA)
