Borrell emphasized the urgent need for a return to diplomatic dialogue between Baku and Karabakh Armenians.

He also expressed concern that the current military escalation could potentially be exploited to force the local population into an exodus, further exacerbating the already dire situation in the region.

"The EU is fully committed to facilitating dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia," stated Mr. Borrell, underlining the EU's active involvement in seeking a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

This development comes amidst ongoing tensions in the Karabakh region, and the EU's call for de-escalation reflects the international community's concerns about the situation's potential to escalate further. (ILKHA)
