Prompted by information about a group of irregular migrants stranded in life rafts off the coast of Muğla, the Coast Guard swiftly deployed boats to the area. Their efforts led to the safe retrieval of the 40 irregular migrants who had been forcibly returned by Greek elements.
In addition to this rescue operation, the Turkish Coast Guard apprehended a group of 70 irregular migrants and one individual suspected of being involved in migrant smuggling. These apprehensions occurred along the coasts of Muğla, İzmir, and Aydın.
Following the necessary procedures, the irregular migrants were transferred to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.
