At least 7 dead, 2 missing in devastating floods in Algeria

The rain caused flooding in several parts of the country, including the capital, Algiers. Rescue operations are underway to find the missing people.

The meteorological agency has warned of further rain and thunderstorms in western Algeria, with rainfall levels expected to reach more than 40 mm.

The authorities have urged people to be careful and to avoid areas that are prone to flooding. (ILKHA)
