The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) reported that the seismic event took place at precisely 07:35 local time.

The earthquake was measured at a depth of around 7 kilometers (4.34 miles).

Although the magnitude was relatively moderate, the sudden jolt sent tremors throughout the city, causing concern among residents.

Local authorities and emergency response teams are currently assessing the situation and ensuring the safety of the affected areas. There have been no immediate reports of significant damage or casualties, but investigations are ongoing.

Türkiye's susceptibility to seismic activity underscores the importance of preparedness and quick response in such situations. The AFAD and relevant agencies continue to monitor the situation closely and provide necessary updates to the public. (ILKHA)
