The operation resulted in the dismantling of terror bases linked to Zionist entities in four provinces, namely Khuzestan, Mazandaran, Kermanshah, and Sistan and Baluchestan.

Providing a timeline of events, the Ministry disclosed that on August 19, 2022, security forces apprehended two heavily armed terrorists in Khuzestan province.

Subsequently, on August 23, 2023, another terror base in Mazandaran province was successfully disbanded, leading to the arrest of an individual found in possession of an array of weaponry.

The province of Kermanshah also witnessed action as two terrorists were detained. These individuals were responsible for executing various false-flag operations, which included sending incriminating videos to the leaders of terrorist cells based in Denmark and the Netherlands.

In a separate operation on August 25, 2023, Iran's security forces thwarted a saboteur group in Taftan city, situated in the Sistan and Baluchestan province. The operation resulted in the confiscation of a significant stockpile of weapons and equipment, which had been earmarked for use in false-flag and terrorist activities.

The Ministry's statement emphasized that the arrested terrorists had been actively planning and preparing for terrorist attacks, with the intention of implicating the country's security, military, and law enforcement institutions.

Highlighting the complex nature of the terrorist landscape, the Ministry pointed out the diverse range of groups and organizations involved in these destabilizing activities. These groups had connections spanning from Western countries like Germany, the Netherlands, and Denmark to operatives affiliated with ISIS based in Afghanistan, as well as resident gangs located in Pakistan.

According to the Intelligence Ministry, substantial evidence has surfaced, indicating the existence of a central coordinating cell located within Western nations, as well as ties to the Zionist regime. This revelation underscores the intricate web of relationships and motivations behind the attempted acts of terrorism.

The successful dismantling of these terror cells marks a significant achievement for Iran's security apparatus in their ongoing efforts to counteract threats to national stability and peace. (ILKHA)
