“Such an unfortunate position from the government of Sierra Leone comes at a time as israeli crimes and terrorism against our people, land and holy sites have become more intensive than ever,” Hamas spokesman Abdul-Latif Qanu said in a statement on Saturday.

“This would provide a green light for the occupation army and settlers to persist in their violations and devour more Palestinian lands, especially in Occupied Jerusalem,” Qanu added.

The spokesman also condemned such a Sierra Leonean decision as an “infringement on the Palestinian people’s rights and support for the fascist occupation of their land.”

Sierra Leone said Friday that it would open an embassy in the occupied holy city of Jerusalem.

The announcement came in a statement from president Julius Maada Bio following a conversation Thursday with zionist regime's foreign minister Eli Cohen. (ILKHA)
