Acting Minister of National Defense Mullah Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid addressed the ceremony, vowing to continue working towards the development and prosperity of Afghanistan.

Mujahid said that the Islamic Emirate had achieved victory after two decades of war, and that the focus now shifts towards the constructive rebuilding of the nation.

He stressed that the Islamic Emirate is committed to safeguarding the Islamic system and preserving national values. He also declared their unwavering dedication to ensuring the security of the people, reaffirming that no one will be allowed to jeopardize it.

Mujahid also highlighted the progress that the Islamic Emirate has made in the past two years, including the restoration of peace and security, the reopening of schools and hospitals, and the promotion of economic development.

He called on all Afghans to unite and work together to build a prosperous and peaceful future for Afghanistan.

The ceremony was attended by a number of high-ranking officials from the Islamic Emirate, as well as by representatives from the diplomatic community in Kabul.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized control of the country on August 15, 2021, following the withdrawal of US and NATO troops. The group has since been working to consolidate its power and establish a new government. (ILKHA)
