The main objective of these operations was to address the ongoing issue of irregular migration in the region.

As a result of these efforts, a total of 150 individuals were rescued from perilous conditions at sea. The rescued migrants hailed from both Tunisian and Sub-Saharan African backgrounds, underscoring the diverse nature of the ongoing migration challenge.

Tunisia's southern cities have been known as key departure points for those attempting to make the perilous journey to Europe by boats. Desperate for better opportunities and living conditions, migrants often risk their lives on these treacherous voyages whenever the chance arises.

The Tunisian authorities remain committed to tackling irregular migration and preventing further human tragedies in their waters. The recent operations serve as a stark reminder of the complex and urgent nature of the migration crisis in the region.

As the situation continues to evolve, the Tunisian government and international organizations are working closely to address the underlying issues driving this phenomenon. (ILKHA)
