Afghan Red Crescent Society and IFRC hold meeting in Jeddah

The Acting President of the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS), Mawlavi Mati-ul-Haq Khales, met with Dr. Miguel Villarroel, the Vice President of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC), in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, both parties engaged in discussions about the ARCS's ongoing activities, notable achievements, the challenges it faces, and its future plans, as stated in an official ARCS statement.

Mawlavi Mati-ul-Haq Khales took the opportunity to request Dr. Villarroel's assistance in overcoming the society's current obstacles and providing further support to vulnerable communities in Afghanistan.

In response, Dr. Villarroel pledged to develop and implement a comprehensive plan focused on the ARCS's growth and capacity building. This initiative aims to enhance the society's ability to cater to the needs of those it serves and expand its humanitarian efforts.
