Peskov mentioned that the proposals made by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to extend the Black Sea initiative outlined a plan of action and a promise for the future execution of the Russian part of the agreement. However, he regretfully stated that the deal is currently not being implemented,

not to continue participating in the initiative due to the other parties' failure to fulfill their obligations regarding the supply of Russian products to the world market. President Vladimir Putin emphasized that Moscow would be ready to resume the grain deal promptly once all the promises made to Russia making it impractical to revive it at this time.

The agreement aimed to facilitate the safe export of Ukrainian grain across the Black Sea and create favorable conditions for the export of agricultural products and fertilizers from Russia. Since its initial signing, the deal has undergone multiple extensions.

Peskov noted that on July 17, Russia decided were fully honored.

The collapse of the grain deal could have a significant impact on global food supplies. Ukraine is a major exporter of wheat, corn, and sunflower oil, and the war has disrupted its ability to export these products. The United Nations has warned that the conflict could lead to a global food crisis, and the collapse of the grain deal could make the situation worse. (ILKHA)
