Pashinyan emphasized that until a peace treaty is signed and ratified by the parliaments of both countries, the likelihood of a new conflict with Azerbaijan remains significant.

The statement comes amid ongoing tensions, and on May 13th of this year, one Armenian soldier was killed during border clashes with Azerbaijani troops.

These hostilities have the potential to disrupt the peace talks led by the EU over the weekend.

Since the end of the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War, there have been a number of attempts to reach a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. However, these attempts have so far been unsuccessful. The conflict remains unresolved, and there is a risk of further violence. (ILKHA)
