Spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said that the sanctions are "not in the interest of any side" and that "interaction, dialogue and understanding should be used instead of pressure and sanctions."

Mujahid said that the EU's actions are "repeating failed experiences against Afghans" and that "imposing policies has not yielded any results."

The EU sanctions target 22 Afghan officials, including members of the Afghan government and Haqqani Network. The sanctions freeze the assets of the individuals and prohibit them from traveling to the EU. (ILKHA)
