The package, designated under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI), is tailored to address Ukraine's urgent requirements by providing critical air defense capabilities and munitions, according to a statement by the Department of Defense (DoD).

With a total value of $1.3 billion, the USAI package comprises a range of essential resources, including:
1. Four National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (NASAMS) and accompanying munitions.
2. 152mm artillery rounds to augment Ukraine's firepower.
3. Mine clearing equipment to improve battlefield safety and maneuverability.
4. Tube-Launched, Optically-Tracked, Wire-Guided (TOW) missiles for enhanced anti-armor capabilities.
5. Phoenix Ghost and Switchblade Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) to bolster intelligence gathering and situational awareness.
6. Precision aerial munitions for precise and effective strikes.
7. Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and electronic warfare detection equipment to counter emerging threats.
8. 150 fuel trucks to support logistical operations.
9. 115 tactical vehicles for equipment towing and transportation.
10. 50 tactical vehicles for equipment recovery missions.
11. Port and harbor security equipment to safeguard critical maritime assets.
12. Tactical secure communications systems to enhance coordination and information sharing.
13. Comprehensive support for training, maintenance, and sustainment activities.
The DoD emphasized its commitment to working closely with allies and partners to equip Ukraine with essential capabilities, meeting both immediate battlefield needs and long-term security requirements.
