The missiles were fired from an area near Pyongyang and landed outside Japan's exclusive economic zone.

The first ballistic missile reached an altitude of 50 km (31 miles) and covered a distance of 550 km (341 miles), while the second missile reached a similar altitude of 50 km but traveled a longer distance of 600 km (372 miles).

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) called on North Korea to immediately cease such activities. The JCS strongly condemned these provocative acts, stating that they pose a significant threat to the peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula and the international community. Additionally, the launches were deemed a clear violation of UN Security Council resolutions.

Japan has also condemned the launches and lodged a formal protest through diplomatic channels. (ILKHA)
