Altun emphasised that July 15 was an epic of heroism in which the nation ended the period of coups with their bare hands, shattered the schemes, did not allow any terrorist to flee, and thwarted the treacherous plots with their courage and faith, adding: “On July 15, like a raging river that destroys the dykes set up in its path, the 'Heroes of the Century of Türkiye' wrote a new manifesto of resistance, freedom, and independence in response to the tanks and cannons. As the veil of darkness gradually yielded to the gentle touch of dawn, our nation became unified in mind, heart, and body, making existence unbearable for those who gazed upon our homeland.”
Altun emphasised that on the night of resistance and resurrection, martyrs and veterans entrusted the Turkish people with a free future and added:
“They paved the way for the Century of Türkiye and left behind a legacy that will forever remind us of both loyalty and betrayal. The spirit of July 15 is the guarantee of our future. Our homeland is owned by our nation. On July 15, our President's calls and stand that shone a light into the night, along with the prudence and valiant resistance of our nation, resulted in an epic victory; we will never forget it, nor will we allow it to be forgotten. We will not forgive those who covet the future of this nation, nor will we permit them to be forgiven. Everyone should be aware and informed that fighting FETO is our top priority.
We will continue our fight against all terrorist organizations, especially FETO, under the leadership of our President until the last terrorist has been neutralized. We will keep up our struggle within the framework of strategies to eradicate terrorism at its source and eliminate terrorist organizations in every setting where they operate with extraordinary effort and holistic insight. On the occasion of Democracy and National Unity Day on July 15, we commemorate our martyrs with mercy and wish our veterans good health and well-being. We salute our cherished and valiant nation with respect.”. (ILKHA)
