The revered spiritual leader had been receiving medical care in Istanbul for some time due to health issues. Sadly, at precisely 2:10 PM, Sheikh Abdülbaki al-Husayni breathed his last.

The funeral prayer for the late Sheikh Abdülbaki al-Husayni is scheduled to take place in Adıyaman Menzil, the spiritual hub of the Menzil Community. The serene village of Menzil, situated in Kahta, Adiyaman, in the southeastern region of Türkiye, holds great significance for the community.

Founded by Abdülhakim Erol, the Menzil Community is one of the strongest branches of the Naqshbandi order. The community draws its name from the village of Menzil, where Abdülhakim Erol established and nurtured his spiritual following. Born in 1902 in the Baykan district of Siirt, Abdülhakim Erol's profound teachings paved the way for the community's growth and expansion.

Upon Abdülhakim Erol's passing in 1972, leadership of the community was passed down to his son, Muhammet Raşit Erol. After Muhammet Raşit Erol's demise in 1993, Sheikh Abdülbaki Erol assumed the role of leader. Over the course of a century, the Menzil Community has remained rooted in the village of Menzil.

Although no official records exist, it is estimated that the Menzil Community boasts a substantial membership, ranging between one and two million individuals. Among the various branches of the Naqshbandi order, the Menzil Community garners the largest following. The community is organized in nearly all cities across Türkiye, with approximately 15,000 visitors daily seeking the wisdom and guidance of the sheikh, making the village of Menzil akin to a grand complex. Such is the community's devotion that a bus station has been erected nearby to accommodate the influx of visitors.

While the Menzil Community predominantly comprises members from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, particularly when compared to other Naqshbandi communities, recent years have witnessed notable socio-economic development within their ranks.

The passing of Sheikh Abdülbaki al-Husayni leaves a void in the Menzil Community and the broader spiritual landscape. Followers mourn the loss of their beloved leader, cherishing the spiritual legacy he leaves behind. The funeral prayer in Menzil, Adıyaman, promises to be a solemn occasion, where devotees will pay their final respects to a remarkable spiritual guide. (ILKHA)
