This majority allows the government to continue its governance following their absolute victory in the elections held on June 25.

The vote of confidence concludes three days of debate and confirms the support of 158 deputies from Mitsotakis's New Democracy party, as reported by Skai public television.

Mitsotakis said in a statement after the vote that "the Greek people have given us a clear mandate to continue our work." He added that the government will "focus on the challenges ahead," including the war in Ukraine and the economic recovery.

The vote of confidence is a major boost for Mitsotakis and his government. It gives them a strong mandate to govern and to implement their policies. It also sends a message of stability to Greece's international partners. (ILKHA)
