The earthquake occurred at 08:28 TSI with a depth of 6.98 km. The epicenter was located at 37.998 degrees north latitude and 36.357 degrees east longitude.

Unlike the devastating earthquake earlier this year in February, which claimed the lives of over 50,000 people and caused widespread destruction, this recent earthquake did not result in any major damage or casualties.

In response to the February earthquake, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change conducted assessments on 763,000 buildings to evaluate the extent of damage. The results revealed that 41,791 buildings across ten provinces in Turkey had suffered severe damage or were completely destroyed, leaving approximately 150,000 people homeless.

During the February earthquake, rescue efforts were challenging as numerous individuals were trapped under collapsed buildings. However, no such incidents have been reported following the recent 4.3 magnitude earthquake in Göksun.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation and provide necessary support to affected areas. (ILKHA)
