Russian President Vladimir Putin recently engaged in a telephone conversation with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, following a call initiated by the Saudi side, according to a statement released by the Kremlin.

The conversation primarily revolved around the recent Wagner Group mutiny in Russia, during which Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud expressed his support for the measures undertaken by the Russian leadership to safeguard the constitutional order and ensure the safety and security of its citizens.

Apart from discussing the events in Russia, the leaders also touched upon various aspects concerning the further advancement of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation between their respective countries.

Additionally, as the conversation coincided with the occasion of Eid al-Adha, Vladimir Putin requested the Crown Prince to extend his warm greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman, and the entire Saudi nation.
