The initiative, known as the “Clothing Campaign for Orphaned and Needy Children,” aimed to bring smiles to the faces of the children most impacted by the tragic events.
Ahead of the upcoming Eid al-Adha holiday, the European Orphan Hand Foundation focused its attention on orphaned and needy children who suffered greatly from the earthquake that struck Türkiye on February 6th. Through the provision of clothing assistance, the foundation aimed to bring joy and alleviate the hardships faced by these children.
As part of the campaign, the children, accompanied by their families, had the opportunity to visit a local clothing store located in the İskenderun district. They excitedly chose their holiday outfits, experiencing a sense of delight and anticipation.
The children who received clothing aid expressed their heartfelt happiness and extended their gratitude to the European Orphan Hand Foundation for their generous support during this challenging time.
“We have been by the side of our people since day one of the earthquake,” emphasized Necip Öner, the representative of the European Orphan Hand Foundation in Hatay.
With the invaluable support of philanthropists, Öner highlighted the foundation's unwavering commitment to standing with the affected communities. “Today, we are fortunate to experience the joy of dressing our orphans ahead of Eid al-Adha. We express our sincere appreciation to the philanthropists. As long as their support continues, we will continue to bring happiness to the lives of these orphans, with the blessings of God,” Öner added.
Cevdet Dizlek, the foundation's representative in Adana, further affirmed their dedication, stating: “As the European Orphan Hand in Türkiye, we have endeavored to assist earthquake victims comprehensively in various areas, encompassing food, clothing, and search and rescue operations across all affected regions. Prior to the holiday season, our foundation has arrived in İskenderun, aiming to uplift the spirits of children residing in the earthquake-stricken areas. By providing clothing aid, we have contributed to their happiness. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the philanthropists. As long as there is a need, we will remain steadfast in our support of earthquake victims.”
The European Orphan Hand Foundation's compassionate efforts demonstrate the power of collective action and the positive impact that can be achieved when individuals and organizations unite to support those facing adversity. Through their clothing aid initiative, they have not only provided practical assistance but also shared hope and joy with children in their time of need. (ILKHA)
