Turkish presidency strongly condemns provocations in Zurich

The Turkish presidency's Directorate of Communications has issued a strong condemnation of the recent provocations that took place in Zurich, Switzerland, targeting President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

In an official statement, the Turkish presidency expressed its vehement disapproval of the attack, labeling it as a heinous act committed by “terrorists and their supporters”.

The Swiss ambassador to Ankara was promptly summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in response to the attack on President Erdoğan and the Turkish flag. During the meeting, Turkish officials emphasized that the assault was entirely unacceptable, emphasizing the need for swift action against the perpetrators.

Additionally, the Turkish authorities have urged the Swiss government to initiate an immediate investigation to identify those responsible for the attack and take necessary measures promptly.

The statement stressed that the Turkish authorities, particularly the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will closely monitor the developments in the case.

Furthermore, the Turkish presidency's statement called on the Swiss authorities to prevent such "disgusting" attacks and thwart any attempts by terrorist groups to disseminate false information and black propaganda. The Turkish government expects Swiss authorities to take effective measures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents. (ILKHA)
