Eight Kenyan police officers killed in IED attack in Garissa County

The incident occurred on Tuesday in Garissa County, located in eastern Kenya along the border with Somalia, an area long plagued by the insurgency of Al-Shabaab against the fragile government in Mogadishu.

North Eastern Regional Commissioner John Otieno confirmed the grim news, stating: "We lost eight police officers in this attack."
