Regional officials have reported at least six fatalities and more than a dozen injuries as a consequence of these aggressive actions.

Amidst the ongoing 15-month conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Ukrainian military spokespersons have expressed concerns over the heightened intensity of aerial strikes by Russian forces. This escalation coincides with limited advances made by Ukrainian troops during an early counter-offensive.

Donetsk regional governor, Pavlo Kyrylenko, took to Telegram to relay the distressing news of casualties caused by shelling in the eastern region. He disclosed that three individuals tragically lost their lives as seven homes were demolished, and numerous other properties suffered significant damage in the cities of Kramatorsk and Konstantinovka. Meanwhile, in Odesa, a strike targeted a food warehouse, claiming the lives of three warehouse employees and leaving seven others injured. The attack also inflicted damage upon residential buildings, warehouses, shops, and cafes, as confirmed by the regional administration through a Facebook post. Additionally, six individuals, including security guards and residents of a neighboring house, sustained injuries.

Rescue teams have promptly launched search and rescue operations, diligently scouring the rubble in hopes of finding any possible survivors, as conveyed by the regional administration.

The assault on Odesa, carried out from the Black Sea, involved the deployment of four Kalibr cruise missiles. Notably, the region's air defenses effectively intercepted three of these missiles, providing a measure of defense against the attack, according to the regional administration. The situation remains tense as authorities assess the aftermath of this destructive act of aggression. (ILKHA)
