The accident took place in a mountainous region known for its partially paved roads, specifically in Sar-e-Pul province. The victims, who had attended a wedding, were traveling from one area of Sayyad district to another when the unfortunate incident occurred.

According to Din Mohammad Nazari, the spokesperson for the local police commander, the crash can be attributed to the negligence of the minibus driver. It is believed that due to the driver's lack of caution, the vehicle plunged into a deep ravine. As of now, it remains uncertain if any survivors were able to be rescued.

Regrettably, traffic accidents are not uncommon in Afghanistan, with poor road infrastructure and the reckless behavior of drivers on the highways being major contributing factors. (ILKHA)
