Türkiye's new cabinet to hold inaugural National Security Council meeting

Türkiye's new cabinet is scheduled to convene its first National Security Council meeting at the Presidential Complex on Thursday.

Chaired by President Erdoğan, the meeting will bring together key officials, including Deputy President Cevdet Yılmaz, Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, Chief of General Staff General Musa Avsever, and force commanders.

Notably, Hakan Fidan, who previously led the National Intelligence Organization (MIT), will now participate in the meeting in his new role as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Similarly, Yaşar Güler, currently serving as the Chief of the General Staff, will attend as the Minister of National Defense, while İbrahim Kalın will represent the nation's intelligence agency.

The meeting's agenda is expected to encompass a wide range of critical internal and external issues that are of immediate importance to Türkiye. (ILKHA)
