President Erdoğan secured victory in the presidential runoff election held on May 28, garnering 52.18% of the vote. His closest opponent, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, received 47.82% of the vote, according to official results.
Furthermore, Erdoğan's Justice and Development (AK) Party emerged as the top party in parliament on May 13, securing 268 seats. The AK Party, in alliance with the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) and the New Welfare Party (YRP), achieved a combined majority of 323 seats out of the total 600 in parliament.
The main opposition Nation's Alliance, comprising the Republican People's Party (CHP) and the Good Party (IYI), secured a total of 212 seats in parliament, with 169 deputies belonging to the CHP.
