Erdogan stresses unity and vision for Türkiye's future at Turkish Court of Accounts' anniversary event

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan delivered a speech at an event held in Ankara to mark the 161st foundation anniversary of the Turkish Court of Accounts.

During his address, President Erdogan emphasized the importance of unity and celebrated the upcoming centenary of the Turkish Republic.

Expressing his optimism and enthusiasm, President Erdogan stated: “Leaving aside all our differences, we, as the 85 million, will celebrate with great enthusiasm the centenary of our Republic. Together, we will witness the magnificence of the century-old bridge we have built from the past to the future.”

President Erdogan reiterated his commitment to commemorate the 100th foundation anniversary of the Republic on October 29, 2023. He emphasized the significance of setting aside differences and uniting as a nation to celebrate this momentous occasion.

Looking towards the future, President Erdogan outlined his vision for the "Century of Türkiye," a comprehensive roadmap aimed at elevating the country to the level of contemporary civilizations. He highlighted the importance of realizing the nation's century-old dreams, achieving greater goals, and building a prosperous future together. President Erdogan praised the unity and determination of the 85 million citizens, comparing it to the spirit of the Independence War.

Further stressing that they will not be able to feel at peace until they achieve Türkiye’s goals and leave next generations a country in which they will live happily and in prosperity, Erdoğan stated: “Therefore, it is very important to establish a harmonious cooperation among the state bodies, together with the legislative, executive and judicial branches.”

Reflecting on the progress made in the past 21 years, Erdogan highlighted a "mentality revolution" that fostered harmony and unity of goals among all state institutions. This paradigm shift enabled Türkiye to thrive in various areas, including democracy, national security, economic growth, and social services. Despite global crises, Türkiye's average annual economic growth reached 5.5 percent, while advancements were made in employment, tourism, transportation, education, healthcare, and the defense industry.

Erdogan concluded his speech by emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration and determination to establish a vibrant future for the nation. His remarks echoed the resilience and progress Türkiye has achieved and underscored the nation's commitment to realizing its aspirations for the upcoming century.
