In a passionate address at a rally held in Istanbul's Beykoz district, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan rallied his supporters, highlighting the importance of confidence in the national will and unity as the country prepares for the upcoming May 28 elections.
Furthermore, Erdoğan underlined the importance of maintaining dignity and restraint throughout the electoral process, noting that the actions taken by all 85 million citizens will be recorded in history. He expressed confidence in achieving a resounding victory on the night of May 28, ensuring that only a minority of incompetent and self-interested individuals, along with those seeking to disrupt national unity and prosperity, would experience defeat. Erdoğan specifically referenced those who attempt to manipulate Turkish politics from Qandil and sow chaos from Pennsylvania, alluding to external influences.
“All who have confidence in the national will, have a dream for our country and feel they belong to these lands will be a winner of the May 28 elections. Those who, despite all the provocations, do not cast a shadow over the polls, do not ignore the rule of law and legitimacy, and who believe in the changing power of the civil politics will be counted as the victors of these elections regardless of the results,” Erdoğan said.
Reiterating his earlier sentiment, Erdoğan reiterated that anyone who places trust in the national will, envisions a brighter future for the nation, and exhibits a sense of belonging to Turkish soil will be regarded as a winner in the May 28 elections.
He emphasized the significance of upholding the rule of law, legitimacy, and embracing the transformative potential of civil politics, regardless of the electoral outcome. (ILKHA)
