Stressing the need to assess the situation alongside his colleagues, Erdogan expressed his commitment to taking necessary steps to enhance the welfare of the people and promote the country's development.

During the interview, Erdogan voiced concerns regarding his main opponent, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, from the opposition party.

Erdogan asserted that if Kılıçdaroğlu were to secure the majority of votes in the second round, it would amount to a triumph for "terrorist organizations and American corporations."

He emphasized that his own victory would benefit Türkiye's entire population of 85 million, implying that Kılıçdaroğlu's win would undermine unity and solidarity in the country.

Earlier in the day, Kılıçdaroğlu challenged Erdogan to participate in a televised debate, claiming he possessed evidence of Erdogan's negotiations and collaboration with terrorists.

However, Erdogan dismissed the proposal, stating that he saw no purpose in engaging in a discussion with his opponent.

Erdogan highlighted what he perceived as Kılıçdaroğlu's lack of accomplishments and vision, referencing the Okmeydani Social Security Department hospital in Istanbul and the allocation of parliamentary seats to a party that garnered less than 1% of the votes.

Türkiye recently concluded parliamentary and presidential elections on May 14, with Erdogan securing 49.24% of the votes in the first round, and Kılıçdaroğlu earning 45.07%.

As the runoff approaches on May 28, both candidates are ramping up their efforts to secure victory in the final stage of the election process. (ILKHA)
