İstanbul had the highest share with 16.3% and 13 thousand 944 house sales, the Turkish Statistical Institute said.
The followers of İstanbul were Ankara with 10 thousand house sales and İzmir with 4 thousand 960 house sales with the share of 11.7% and 5.8% respectively. The provinces with the lowest number of sales were Ardahan and Hakkari with 22, Bayburt with 53 house sales.
House sales decreased by 18.6% in January-April 2023
In January-April period, house sales decreased by 18.6% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 368 thousand 867.
Mortgaged house sales became 21 thousand 769
In Türkiye, mortgaged house sales decreased by 32.0% in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 21 thousand 769. Mortgaged house sales had 25.4% share of all house sales. In January-April period, mortgaged house sales decreased by 19.7% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 80 thousand 591.
7 thousand 388 of mortgaged house sales in April and 25 thousand 552 of mortgaged house sales in January-April period released as first hand sales.
Other house sales became 63 thousand 883
In Türkiye, other house sales decreased by 36.8% in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 63 thousand 883. Other house sales had 74.6% share of all house sales. In January-April period, other house sales decreased by 18.3% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 288 thousand 276.
26 thousand 952 houses were sold for the first time
In Türkiye, first time house sales decreased by 26.0% in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 26 thousand 952. First sales had 31.5% share of all house sales. In January-April period, first time house sales decreased by 15.3% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 110 thousand 859.
Second hand house sales became 58 thousand 700
In Türkiye, second hand house sales decreased by 39.3% in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 58 thousand 700. Second hand sales had 68.5% share of all house sales. In January-April period, second hand house sales decreased by 19.9% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 258 thousand 8.
In April, 2 thousand 557 houses were sold to foreigners
House sales to foreigners decreased by 60.3% in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 2 thousand 557. House sales to foreigners had 3.0% share of all house sales in April. Antalya ranked first with a thousand 24 sales to foreigners. The followers of Antalya were İstanbul with 792 house sales and Mersin with 186 house sales to foreigners.
In January-April period, house sales to foreigners decreased by 35.1% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 13 thousand 483.
House sales were mostly made to Russia citizens according to nationalities
In April, Russia citizens bought 817 houses from Türkiye. The followers of Russia citizens were Iran citizens with 377 house sales, Ukraine citizens with 136 house sales and Iraq citizens with 124 house sales. (ILKHA)
