Erdoğan highlights Mersin's significance and special place in Türkiye

He highlighted the significance of Mersin in various sectors such as agriculture, industry, and trade within the country. Additionally, he emphasized the special place Mersin holds in the hearts of the people, as it represents the diverse and vibrant essence of the entire nation.

Noting that each one of Türkiye’s 81 provinces has a unique place in the hearts, Erdoğan said: “We were actually planning to come to Mersin at an earlier date. We were going to meet with you here and attend the delivery ceremony of the fuel rods at the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant. However, we had to attend the Akkuyu event via video link due to a minor illness at that time. I thank Allah for making me a son of this country, a member of this nation and a companion of Mersin.”

“Mersin has a unique place in our country’s agriculture, industry and trade. More importantly, Mersin has a unique place in our hearts with its fabric incorporating all the colors of our country’s human richness,” underlined the President, and added: “We want to build the Century of Türkiye with Mersin.” (ILKHA)
