The envoy, UN emergency relief coordinator Martin Griffiths, stated that the situation in Sudan is reaching a breaking point, with millions of people suffering and their lives turned upside down.

Griffiths will explore ways to bring immediate relief to those affected, but the massive looting of humanitarian offices and warehouses has depleted most of their supplies.

The obvious solution is to stop the fighting, which has already claimed more than 500 lives and displaced tens of thousands of people.

The envoy will travel to the region immediately to assess the situation and find ways to address the urgent needs of the affected families who struggle to access basic commodities such as water, food, fuel, and healthcare. (ILKHA)
