The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency of Türkiye reported that the earthquake occurred at 04:55 TSI at a depth of 6.89 km, with the epicenter located at a latitude of 38.039 degrees north and a longitude of 36.456 degrees east.
The tremor was felt in nearby provinces, including Gaziantep, Adıyaman, Kayseri, and Adana. As of now, there have been no reports of any casualties or damages caused by the earthquake.
In February, a massive 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit southern Türkiye and northern Syria, leading to numerous casualties, injuries, and destruction across several provinces.
The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change conducted damage inspections for 763,000 buildings, with at least 41,791 buildings in ten provinces being severely damaged or destroyed, rendering about 150,000 people homeless. (ILKHA)
