Türkiye to evacuate citizens from Sudan amid ongoing clashes between army and paramilitary forces

“As a result of the security assessments made in light of the ongoing clashes throughout Sudan, it has been decided that our citizens, especially those in the conflict zones, will be evacuated to our country via a third country by road on Sunday, April 23rd,” the Turkish embassy in Sudan said in a statement.

The clashes between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces have been ongoing for over a week, resulting in the death of over 300 civilians and injuries to over 200 others, as reported by the United Nations. (ILKHA)
