The soldiers were in a military truck carrying supplies to Azerbaijani positions near the Allahgulular village when the explosion occurred, according to a statement by Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry.
The ministry said that the mine had been deliberately buried by Armenians along the road.
“The driver and the head of the vehicle were initially injured, and another soldier who arrived to help them was also wounded by an anti-personnel mine,” the ministry noted.
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry provided emergency medical aid to the injured soldiers and informed the Russian peacekeeping contingent and the Turkish-Russian Joint Monitoring Center about the incident.
The ministry held the Armenian military-political leadership responsible for the incident. (ILKHA)
