U.N. spokesperson Stephane Dujarric informed reporters on Tuesday that the organization had expressed concerns to the U.S. government via the U.S. Mission to the United Nations.

The reports emerged as part of a highly classified set of leaked U.S. documents, which contained sensitive information on various topics including Russia’s war in Ukraine and information about U.S. allies.

Dujarric stressed that such actions are inconsistent with U.S. obligations as outlined in the Charter of the United Nations and the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations.

As of Tuesday afternoon, there has been no response from the U.S. government. Jack Teixeira, an Air National Guard member suspected of leaking the documents, was arrested on April 13 on two criminal charges. (ILKHA)
