Iran calls for ending Sudan crisis with dialogue

The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanaani, expressed concern about the recent unrest in Sudan.

“We hope that in the last days of the holy month of Ramadan, our Sudanese brothers will exercise restraint and resort to dialog to resolve the internal differences and will leave behind this worrisome situation through negotiations and peaceful means,” Kanaani said.

He emphasized the need for a national initiative that involves all factions in Sudan and stressed that the crisis can only be resolved through dialogue and consensus. (ILKHA)
