According to officials in Seoul, North Korea fired a ballistic missile towards the East Sea on Thursday, possibly an intermediate or long-range one using solid-propellant intercontinental technology.

In a statement, Dylan White, NATO's deputy spokesperson, expressed strong disapproval of the missile launch, which he said was a direct violation of multiple United Nations Security Council resolutions.

White also pointed out that North Korea has been conducting a growing number of ballistic missile tests since last year, and warned that these actions are undermining both regional and international security.

He called on North Korea to abandon its nuclear and missile programs, end its reckless behavior, and engage in diplomatic efforts in good faith.

Additionally, White emphasized that NATO is firmly united with its regional allies, such as Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. (ILKHA)
