Gunmen kill 9 civilians in Nigeria

The attack occurred at around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday in the Atak'Njei community in Zango Kataf Local Government Area.

Local sources report that four of the deceased were members of a vigilante group. Additionally, over twenty-five people were taken hostage, as well as a significant number of cattle and sheep.

The Kaduna State government has dispatched Air Force jets to the area to conduct surveillance in collaboration with other security agencies in pursuit of the attackers. (ILKHA)
