Addressing the delivery ceremony of the first-ever Togg T10X, Erdoğan said: “We are inshallah starting to see Togg on the roads as of today.”

Stressing that a 60-year-old dream of the nation is coming true today, President Erdoğan said: “We had placed the first order for Togg, our national and indigenous brand that makes our country proud, in 2019. And today, we are receiving the first smart vehicle. I hope Togg, one of the initial fruits of the Century of Türkiye, may be auspicious for our nation.”

“Togg has emerged, developed and reached its current level as a symbol of our country’s technological progress, economic development, and global prestige,” underlined the President, and added: “We are inshallah starting to see Togg on the roads as of today.”

Four industry giants and the largest non-governmental organization in Türkiye, namely Anadolu Grubu, BMC, Turkcell, Zorlu Holding, and The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), combined their forces on June 25, 2018, to establish Togg.

The companies and organizations that decided to work together to produce domestic cars in Turkey were announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in November 2017.

The SUV and sedan models of Togg Domestic Car were introduced at a press conference held on December 27, 2019.

TOGG's body design work was done together with the Italian design company Pininfarina.

“By 2030, we will have a portfolio consisting of a total of 5 different body types to meet different needs in the market. Our project will contribute EUR 50 billion to our GDP and EUR 7 billion to our current account deficit in the next 15 years and will provide employment for a total of 20 thousand people, 5 thousand of which will be employed by Togg directly,” said Mehmet Gürcan Karakaş, Togg's CEO.
